Madison River Trout
Home to rainbows and browns, cutthroat and cutt-bows, the Madison River is such a fine fishery that people talk in terms of trout per mile—inspiring tall tales about walking across the river on top of fish. The stories about 40- and 50-fish days are true, though—hit the right hatch at the right time, and it’s a day to remember for a lifetime.
Here’s a closer look at some of the fish you’ll encounter in Montana.
Ponds on the Ranch are stocked with west slope cutthroat, giving even the youngest anglers a great opportunity to practice their cast and develop their own fish tales to tell.
